"D STYLE" MASTER JAW

The "D Style" master Lock-Jaw enables chucking of work parts too large to hold with and "C Style" master jaw.

The holding length of a "D Style" master Lock-Jaw is equal to the "H" dimension of the Lock- Jaw insert for that particular master jaw.

Figure 3 displays a standard "D Style" master Lock-Jaw. The insert is placed out past both mounting bolts. This allows maximum capacity.

Figure 4 displays a "D1 Style" master Lock-Jaw. The insert is positioned past only the first mounting bolt. This master Lock-Jaw configuration is very practical on chucks with mounting bolts spaced extremely far apart.

Figure 5 displays the "DSR Style" master Lock-Jaw. The insert tongue is positioned directly over the outer most mounting bolt and requires a removable lock-pin. This style master Lock- Jaw offers the largest maximum holding diameters without exceeding the chuck diameter with the end of the master Lock-Jaw. This master jaw is a special application jaw for selected 8 and 10 inch diameter chucks.

To order, add a "D", "D1" or "DSR" to the Lock-Jaw number shown in the catalog corresponding to the mounting dimensions for the specific chuck to be fit.

Example - Lock-Jaw order number 10-61:

add "D"= 10-61-D

add "D1" = 10-61-D1

add "DSR" = 10-61-DSR

14" diameter chuck or smaller: 
Maximum work part size = (chuck diameter) - 2(L+.250)

Chucks over 14" in diameter: 
Maximum work part size = (chuck diameter) - 2(L+.500)
